We offer a variety of league formats to suit different styles of play:
Individual Ladder Leagues (doubles): Players compete individually and move up or down the ladder based on weekly performance.
Team Ladder Leagues: Teams are ranked collectively, and they compete against other teams at similar skill levels.
Round Robin Leagues: individual players or teams compete in a round-robin format, where everyone plays against different teams weekly.
Team Leagues: Multiple teams face off in matches that include singles, doubles, or mixed doubles. The overall team score determines the standings
-
Leagues generally run for 6-10 weeks, with matches scheduled on a weekly basis. Once you register, the full schedule for the season will be provided, and you’ll receive match times via email or text through Pickleball Brackets.
In ladder leagues, players or team rankings are based on weekly wins and losses, with participants moving up or down the ladder depending on their performance.
After each match, players enter the scores themselves through Pickleball Brackets.
Rankings are updated automatically by Pickleball Brackets, so you can track your progress after each match
-
If you can’t attend a match, please notify the league organiser in advance. Depending on the league, substitutes may be allowed.
You may go down a ranking if you miss or forfeit a game.

The league uses the rally scoring format, where a point is awarded on every serve, regardless of which team is serving. Matches are played to either 15 or 21 points, and must be won by at least 2 points.
Additionally, we use a freeze point at 14 or 20 points (depending on the target score). This means once a team reaches the freeze point, they can only score points when they are serving. This adds an exciting layer of strategy as teams approach the final points in the game.
